Wednesday, April 26th, 2006Marie Hearn
Friday, April 21st, 2006This post is not very fun, but for anyone who is interested, I thought you should know that Wednesday Marie Hearn suffered a massive stroke while dining with Roger and Vernon at one of her favorite restaurants (that makes me smile…a little). Mr. Isaacs forwarded me an email written by Marie Marino (Davie Hollister’s mother) that said:
Sorry to write this to everybody at once but it seems the fastest for now. Joe (my brother) has been trying to call since early this morning. Last night Marie Hearn suffered a stroke. She, Vernon, Roger and his family…were all having dinner at one of Marie’s favorite restaurants when she was stricken. She was taken to the hospital where they operated last night to remove a clot in her brain. She is in ICU at PRMC in Salisbury. As of this evening, she has not awakened.I thought all of you would want to know and be in prayer. I’ll let you know when I hear anything more.Prayerfully,Marie
I don’t know what to ask you all to pray for for her. It is not really fair to her, but I would really like an opportunity to say goodbye. She is one of the Great Ones in my life.

Thursday, April 6th, 2006Aram’s birthday
Wednesday, April 5th, 2006Today is Aram’s birthday. He is 28, if my calculations are correct. Last night he mentioned that having another birthday is depressing because he had really hoped he’d be something GREAT by the time he got to 28. Well I’M pretty sure he’s the greatest thing alive.

Below are some pictures from our time in Missouri (Aram and Priska hiking) and from when I was in Florida. In this picture, Priska and I went for a boat ride with Titus on the Peace River. Clayton and Margaret and some other Greenwooders were there too. It was good to be with Titus, and Priska took to him really well. I liked the expression on his face in this picture.
